Monitoring Drives Double-Digit Growth for Heroix
New License Sales Increase Over
40% from Previous Year
Newton, MA
- January 18, 2005 - Heroix,
a leading provider of application performance
management software, today announced that new
license sales in 2004 were up more than 40% over
2003. During the year, the company’s flagship
product Heroix eQ Management Suite saw growth
in new account acquisition as well as expansion
of existing accounts. The strong showing capped
a year in which Heroix eQ won a major industry
award, the Well-Connected Award for Systems Management,
given by CMP Media LLC’s Network Computing based
on real-world product testing and evaluation.
In addition to winning the Well-Connected Award,
Heroix eQ received praise from MCP Magazine (now
Redmond Magazine) reviewer Mike Gunderloy. In
“Tame Those Servers Behaving Badly,” September,
2004, Gunderloy heralded Heroix eQ’s combination
of strong out of the box capabilities and “endless”
ability to be customized for site-specific monitoring
issues. Gunderloy wrote, “it’s the best pick …
for difficult situations.”
Heroix unveiled a major new version of Heroix
eQ in 2004, featuring Line of Business Views that
allow users to group distributed application,
server, and infrastructure components based upon
the specific business activities they support.
"Today, IT organizations must continually
prove that their services are delivering value
to the business," said Rick Lane, President
& COO, Heroix. "Heroix eQ's
ability to integrate information from different
technology silos and translate it into meaningful
business terms enables a true understanding of
how performance issues affect the business, so
IT managers can be confident that their efforts
are focused in the proper areas."
The Heroix eQ Suite operates on Unix (AIX, HP-UX,
Solaris, and Tru64), Linux, Windows Server (Windows
NT/2000/2003), Novell Netware, and OpenVMS, and
monitors packaged and custom applications, database
systems, messaging platforms, Web servers, operating
systems, and IT infrastructure components. Heroix
eQ’s Web Interface unifies monitoring of multiple
platforms.
