Heroix Longitude Drives Sales in 2006

Agentless Performance Monitoring Software Sales Increase Over 300%

Newton, MA - February 21, 2007 - Heroix, a leading provider of application performance monitoring software, today announced 2006 sales of its Longitude agentless monitoring software increased more than 300% over 2005. Offering an integrated approach to monitoring IT performance and Service Level Agreements, Longitude provides reporting, alerting, automated correction, and SLA monitoring for applications, servers, IT infrastructure, networks, and SNMP devices to help companies ensure optimal business performance.

“Longitude’s unique monitoring approach is finding real traction with organizations that desire greater visibility into IT service levels,” said Heroix Founder and CEO Howard Reisman. “By aggregating metrics and correlating events across the disparate components that comprise distributed applications, Longitude provides clearer performance reporting for business and IT managers, and enables root cause analysis that speeds troubleshooting and problem resolution by IT staff.”

The increased sales momentum came in tandem with two major updates for the agentless monitoring software package. In April, Longitude V3 expanded its SLA reporting and added event correlation for root cause analysis, baseline workload data for threshold adjustment, scalable notifications and corrective actions, and expanded monitoring coverage. In December, Longitude V4 centralized monitoring and management with an enhanced event monitor console and added a real time performance monitoring statistic dashboard, custom monitoring of SNMP devices, a management reporting portal, and consolidation of Windows Event Logs.

"Longitude's new event control, real-time dashboard and reporting for business users are all hallmarks of sophisticated incident and problem management solutions," said Jasmine Noel, founder, Ptak, Noel & Associates. "Yet Heroix has integrated these new capabilities into the product interface in intuitive ways which allows customers to reap the benefits without extensive product configuration or training. This usability insurance helps customers get the most value out of Longitude."

Longitude’s blend of easy deployment and superior reporting capabilities made it the right choice for Greg Gootee, CIO at Mid Rogue Health Information Management Services (MRHIMS). "We chose Heroix Longitude after an extensive search," said Gootee. "We were extremely impressed with how easy the product was to deploy and liked the fact that the reporting capabilities provide valuable data for a cross section of IT support staff. With Longitude, we are able to effectively manage our SLAs and meet our customer obligations. Not only does Longitude provide rich performance monitoring capabilities, it offers a superior cost-to-value advantage."

Michael Hecht, IT Director at Arrowsight, chose Longitude for similar reasons. "The product's agentless architecture and solid reporting, event monitoring, dashboard, and SLA capabilities are superior,” said Hecht. “As a Web-based Application Service Provider, any IT problems we experience have a direct impact on our ability to serve our customers. The proactive performance monitoring capabilities we get from Longitude are immense."
