Best Award Winner by Windows IT Pro
Newton, MA
- August 1, 2007 - Heroix, makers of Longitude®
agentless, multiplatform application performance
and network monitoring software, today announced
that Longitude was named as a winner of the "Editor's
Best Awards" in the interoperability category
by Penton Media's Windows IT Pro®.
“The 2007 Editor’s Best Awards utilize
our editors' product knowledge and subject matter
expertise to identify exceptional products that
have been covered in the pages of Windows IT Pro
and its online newsletters, and which benefit
the Windows IT Pro reader community,” said
Kim Paulsen, group publisher.
“Our editors are tough, in-the-trenches
critics,” Paulsen continued. “They
demand solid value and performance from the products
they select. Editor’s Best Award winners
can feel proud that the products and services
they developed have earned the respect and recognition
of the Windows IT Pro editorial staff.”
“We are pleased to be named a winner by
Windows IT Pro magazine,” said Rick Lane,
President of Heroix. “The selection of Longitude
by Windows IT Pro reflects the value it brings
to IT organizations. Longitude helps lean IT staff
bring clarity to their complex information technology
environments and ensures optimal business performance
with agentless application performance and network
monitoring.”
In June, Heroix announced Longitude V5 which
focuses on providing organizations the ability
to manage IT performance and business service
levels. New features accelerate time to deployment,
deliver immediate insight, and expedite the resolution
of IT performance problems:
- Customized real-time dashboards, reports
and alerts, along with topology based-views and
annotations for reports and service level agreements
(SLAs), make it easy to identify the relationship
between certain events and their impact on business
service levels.
- Longitude V5 utilizes synthetic transactions
to measure how users actually interact with Web-based
applications, and shows the relationship between
the user experience and the underlying infrastructure
components that support the associated business
service.
- In response to the growing prevalence
of virtualized computing environments, Longitude
V5 monitors the virtual machine images themselves
as well as the impact of those virtual machines
on the physical hardware.
